1. Respect & Conduct
All members are expected to behave respectfully, maturely, and professionally. Healthy discussions and disagreements are welcome, but they must remain civil and respectful at all times. The following behaviour is not tolerated:
1.1 - Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or targeted abuse.
1.2 - Hate speech, discrimination, or derogatory remarks directed toward any individual or group.
1.3 - Personal attacks, insults, name-calling, or attempts to provoke others.
1.4 - Encouraging harassment, mass-reporting, or targeting members.
1.5 - Creating unnecessary drama, hostility, or intentionally escalating conflicts.
1.6 - Trolling, baiting, or posting content solely intended to provoke negative reactions.
2. English Only
2.1 - All forum discussions should be in English so members and moderators can understand them.
3. Respect Developers, Moderators & Staff
Developers and moderators are here to support and engage with the community. Constructive criticism and feedback are encouraged, provided they remain respectful and productive. Please do not:
3.1 - Harass developers, moderators or other staff members.
3.2 - Spam developers with repeated questions regarding release dates, updates, or unreleased features.
3.3 - Excessively tag developers or staff members for attention. Ask your question respectfully and allow time for a response.
3.4 - Spread misinformation regarding the game, the development team, or moderation staff.
3.5 - Pressure staff into revealing confidential or unreleased information.
4. No False Information or Impersonation
To protect the integrity of the community:
4.1 - Do not impersonate developers, moderators, staff members, content creators, or other community members.
4.2 - Do not knowingly spread false or misleading information regarding the game, development team, or community.
4.3 - Do not claim to represent Ardem or Techtive Games unless officially authorised to do so.
4.4 - Forum usernames, Steam profiles, email addresses, or other identifying information may not falsely imply affiliation with Ardem or Techtive Games.
4.5 - Fake announcements, edited screenshots intended to mislead others, or fabricated developer statements are prohibited.
5. Privacy & Personal Information
Respect the privacy and safety of others. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
5.1 - Sharing another person's personal information without their consent (doxxing).
5.2 - Posting private conversations, messages, or correspondence without permission from all parties involved.
5.3 - Attempting to obtain personal information from other members through deception, coercion, or inappropriate means.
5.4 - Encouraging others to invade another person's privacy.
6. No Inappropriate or Illegal Content
The following content is prohibited:
6.1 - Pornographic or sexually explicit material.
6.2 - Illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
6.3 - Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery.
6.4 - Content promoting self-harm or encouraging dangerous activities.
6.5 - Malware, phishing attempts, malicious links, or harmful software.
7. Avoid Highly Sensitive/Disruptive Topics
To help keep the community focused on Ardem, the following topics should generally be avoided. Moderators may redirect or end discussions that become disruptive.
7.1 - Politics.
7.2 - Religion.
7.3 - Real-world conflicts.
7.4 - Highly controversial social debates likely to disrupt the community.
8. Advertising & Self-Promotion
Advertising and self-promotion are only permitted when relevant to Ardem and shared in the appropriate categories.
8.1 - Community servers may be shared within designated area in the forum.
8.2 - Advertising unrelated products, services, or businesses is not permitted.
8.3 - Referral links, affiliate links, and promotional content require prior approval.
8.4 - Sending unsolicited advertisements or promotional messages in any way is prohibited.
8.5 - Excessive self-promotion outside approved areas may result in moderation action.
9.Spam & Forum Usage
Please keep forum organised and readable. Use each category and board for its intended purpose, and keep topics relevant to the board they are posted in.
9.1 - Excessive use of sending gifs/stickers and emojis counts as spamming. Keep it chill.
9.2 - Do not excessively tag members.
9.3 - Do not post unrelated content in categories or boards designated for specific topics.
9.4 - Do not flood topics with repeated, low-effort, or meaningless content.
9.5 - Avoid abusing text formatting to disrupt readability.
10. Report Problems Properly
10.1 - Don't publicly name-and-shame suspected hackers or exploiters.
10.2 - Use the "Report" function and let moderators handle it.
10.3 - Don't argue with trolls or rule-breakers; report them instead.
10.4 - Global anti-cheat bans must be appealed through the relevant anti-cheat provider.
11. Forum Profiles
11.1 - Don't use names such as “Ardem,” “Techtive,” or “Moderator” in a way that implies official status.
11.2 - Avatars, bios, statuses, links, and other profile content must follow the rules.
11.3 - Moderators can require violating profile elements to be changed.
12. Moderation & Enforcement
Moderators are responsible for maintaining a healthy, welcoming, and safe community environment.
12.1 - Follow moderator instructions when they are provided.
12.2 - Do not publicly argue about warnings, mutes, bans, or other moderation actions.
12.3 -Attempting to evade moderation actions through alternate accounts may result in further penalties.
12.4 - Backseat moderation, including policing other members as though you are staff, should be avoided. Report issues to moderators instead via "Report" button.
12.5 - Moderators reserve the right to take action against behaviour that negatively impacts the community, even if it is not explicitly listed within these guidelines.
13. Hacking & Piracy
You may not promote, distribute, or provide access to content involving hacking, cracking, pirated software, or stolen accounts. This includes sharing or selling cheats, hacks, or other tools that may negatively impact others in multiplayer games.
